Grace O'Dare Kimball passed away April 19, 2009, a beloved resident of El Castillo Retirement Residences in Santa Fe. Grace was born in New York City and served as an officer in the US Coast Guard during World War II. A graduate of Cornell University, Grace was elected president of the school board in Lakewood, OH and was a volunteer at Lakewood Hospital. She continued her service for more than 20 years in Santa Fe with the St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary and was a volunteer for the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce. A member and leader in many social organizations and clubs, she was known for her generosity and friendship. She was predeceased by her husband C. Craig Kimball and her sister, Marjorie O.Ross. She is survived by her four children: Carola Kimball Miller and her husband Anthony and their two children, Spencer and Grace of Van Nuys, CA; Clark C. Kimball, Jr. of Marshall, NC; Spencer C. Kimball, of Santa Fe; and Celia Kimball Aaboe and her husband Erik of Santa Fe. A military honors service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on June 22, 2009 at 11:30 AM.
