Graciela Thorpe Powers

Graciela Thorpe-Powers, 73, of Santa Fe, NM passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. She was born on July 19, 1942 in Colon, Panama to Delia Henry and Enrique Thorpe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Powers. She is survived by her son, Eric Escalante. She was a retired teacher, devoted her time, energy, and love to: Santa Fe Community College, Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity. She also loved Tango, Flamenco, and French, Italian and Spanish Groups. Her son thanks her wonderful circle of friends in Santa Fe who embraced and cared for her deeply, and especially when she needed them most. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Rivera Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at San Isidro Catholic Church. Interment will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10:00 am at The Santa Fe National Cemetery.
