Harold Tito Padilla, age 63 and a resident of Chimayo, NM died suddenly on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Harold was born in Espanola, NM on March 19, 1956.

Harold was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He graduated from Espanola High School in 1975. He enjoyed being a basketball official for 25 years where he got to meet many good people within that time. He had a lot of love for the game and his valley. Towards the end of his life, he bravely battled many health issues. He loved and had many special dogs throughout his adult life, with “Honey” being the loyal and faithful dog who stayed by his side until the end.

Harold was predeceased by his daughter, Stephanie Padilla (March 2010); mother Fidelina Padilla (October 2019); grandparents Esquipula Padilla (April 1962), Desideria Espinoza Padilla (January 1963), Luciano Ulibarri (December 2002), Adela Angel Ulibarri (December 1993); uncles Leroy Ulibarri (November 2001), Joe Ulibarri (March 2003); aunt Anna Marie Ulibarri (June 1972); infant brothers Richard (March 1955) and Darrell (November 1959).

Harold is survived by his son Harold T. (J.R.) Padilla and fiancé Barbara Martinez (Pojoaque, NM), daughter Machelle and spouse Francisco Rodriguez (El Llano, NM), and son Joseph Padilla & girlfriend Jennifer Casados (Santa Fe, NM). 15 grandchildren: Jerod Walker, Naveah Trujillo, Alexa Padilla, Andrew Padilla, Adam Padilla, ReAnn Padilla, Destaney Padilla, Mariah Garcia, T.J. Garcia, Matthew Rodriguez, Arielle Rodriguez, Annalysiya Padilla (deceased), Lynessa Padilla, Jordan Padilla, Kaylee Padilla and 1 great great grandchild: Atreus Ojeda. His father Tito Padilla (Las Cruces, NM), brothers Edmund (Chimayo, NM), Dennis and wife Susan (Albuquerque, NM); sisters Angela K. and LuAnn and husband Ray Marquez Jr. (Las Cruces, NM); nephews, nieces and other relatives. Lala as a special aunt to Harold Padilla, Ivy that was a very close cousin more like a sister & Cloudy Martinez as a special niece.

Serving the Padilla as Honorary Pallbearers are Dickie Dominguez, Ricky Deaguerro, Marvin Romero, Tony Martinez & Ralph Martinez.

Funeral services to be held at the Holy Family Parish Catholic Church located at 10 County Road 76, Chimayo NM 87522 on Thursday, December 19, 2019 with a rosary to be recited at 12:15 p.m. and a funeral mass to be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. with interment following.
