Harry Valdez

Valdez, Harry ,of Santa Fe, NM died peacefully, at home on Wednesday December 5, 2018. Born March 04, 1944 to the late Isaac and Elosia Valdez. He is survived by his loving wife and life partner of over 53 years, Katherine (Katy) Valdez, his brothers Isaac Valdez (Dolores), Raymond Valdez (Joanne), Frank Valdez (Pearl), sisters Rita Scheer (Loren) and Brenda Sanchez. Harry was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Bernie Valdez and sister Dorothy Aragon. Harry is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own. Harry was a meat cutter by trade. Through his generosity and kindness both he and Katy were blessed with several friends and acquaintances with whom they shared many fond and cherished memories. Harry was a gentle soul, who was deeply devoted to his faith. He could bring a smile to your face with his beautiful smile and comfort you in the most difficult times. He faced many health challenges over the years, with hope and worry for his family, which was a testament to his selflessness. He will be greatly missed. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 11th, at Rosario Chapel, Santa Fe, NM. Viewing will begin at 9:00am with Rosary, Mass and a Christian Burial to follow. Arrangements are entrusted to Rivera Family Mortuary.
