Maria Elena Garcia (Helen) 76 a resident of Santa Cruz passed away June 08, 2020. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ramon Garcia: her parents Ramon and Lisaida Lucero: Eliseo and Vera Vigil; Daughters Vera Bustos and Josephine Garduno; brother Phillip Lucero; sister Esperanza Oakes; brother-in-law Richard Garcia and sister-in-law Connie Garcia; Nephews Val Lucero, Richie Garcia; godson Raymond Garcia; Niece Tina Garcia.
She is survived by her son Raymond Lucero (Juanita), son/grandson Anthony Lucero (Andrea), daughter Lisaida Archuleta (David), Renee Forbes (Rodney).
Grandchildren; Elizabeth Lucero (Frank), Davy Archuleta, Andrew Garduno (Andrea), Ashley Pennington (James), Alicia Hicks (Wes), Desiray Garduno (Pete), Victoria Garduno (Allen), Shawn Wiggins, Jessica Edwards (Duncan).
Great-grandchildren; Antionette, Anthony, Deon, Deshaun, Lily, Jayden, Aubrianna, Analicia, Nathaniel, Joshua, Anjolene, Lisaida, Judah, Daijah, Andrew Jr, Raylynne, Kendall, Ashlyn, and Mac.Sisters; Diana Vigil Gitterman (Alan), and Denny Abeyta. Many nieces and nephews she loved very, very much.
Helen had a connection with all her great grandchildren, and grandchildren, she made sure she was at all events, whether it was basketball or listening to them perform, and she was their biggest fan. She had many adopted grandchildren, they all had a special place in her heart. She was an amazing cook, she worked as a chef at Camel Rock and Ohkay Casino for many years. She was especially famous for her extremely large tortillas.

Visitation will be held at Rivera Family Funerals in Espanola 305 Calle Salazar
Thursday June 11, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Rosary to follow beginning at 5:00 PM also at the Rivera Family Funeral Home.
Rite of Christian burial mass will take place at the Santa Cruz, Holy Cross Catholic Church on Friday June 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM followed with interment at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
