Helen Valencia

HELEN VALENCIA Born on August 18, 1919 in Pecos, NM, passed away April 21, 2012. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Querina Valencia; siblings: Fidel Valencia, Florentina Gonzales and Alice Garcia; in laws: Secondina Valencia, Paul Gonzales, Hipolito Garcia and George Brown; nieces, Frances and Mildred Valencia; nephew, Carlos and Jose Gonzales. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Brown; nephews: Robert Valencia, Ramon Gonzales (Gloria) and Antonio Gonzales; nieces: Mary Lou Valencia, Patricia Baca (Louie); and special nieces, Yolanda and Jennifer Valencia; and numerous other family and friends. Helen was retired from the State of New Mexico and was a devout Catholic. A visitation and rosary were held on April 24, 2012 at the Rosario Chapel. A Mass was celebrated on April 25, 2012 at the St. Frances Cathedral. Burial followed at the Rosario Cemetery.
