Henry Rodarte

Henry Rodarte, beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2025, at the age of 56. His friendly and fun personality was known to many, bringing smiles and laughter everywhere he went.

Henry was born in Grants, New Mexico on May 11, 1968, to James and Harrylou Rodarte. In his youth, he enjoyed many sports, but his favorite was basketball. He had a great outside shot, even before there was a 3pt line.

He was a great craftsman, fixing and remodeling people’s homes, creating beautiful places for his clients. But Henry would say his greatest accomplishment and joy was his son, Zachary. Henry loved being there for Zachary, coaching basketball and baseball, even winning a championship.

Henry was caring and giving, often offering up whatever he had, even if he could have used it himself. When remembering Henry, thoughts of happiness and laughter are always present.

Henry leaves behind his parents, James and Harrylou Rodarte, son Zachary Rodarte, brothers and sisters Hilda Marquez, Sandra Serrano, Harry and Jasmine Rodarte, Danial Rodarte, mother to Zachary, Margaret Cisneros, nieces and nephews Camille and Ryan Carrol, Erica Marquez, Lydia and TJ Trujillo, Tony and Stacie Serrano, Cassandra and Kevin Hill, and their families.

On Tuesday Feb 25th at 12pm, everyone is invited to meet at the Rivera Funeral Home in Española for Henry's last ride to Peñasco/Rodarte. Henry’s Celebration of Life will be at the Peñasco Community Center at 1pm.
