Henry Grady “H.G.” Biddy JR

H.G. JR, age 76, a resident of Espanola, passed away on October 25, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Biddy, former wife Stella Suther, his father Henry Grady Biddy and stepmother Mabel Biddy.

He is survived by his sister Diane and Jake Trujillo of Pojoaque, NM. Nephew Mark, Jodi and children Brianna and Joaquin Trujillo of Tierra Azul. Stepchildren Lloyd and Michelle Martinez of Reno NV, Priscilla and Allen Tapia of Albuquerque, NM and Gilbert Martinez of Espanola, NM. And 10 Grandchildren.

H.G. proudly served his country honorable in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from December 1965 to December 1968. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers and served as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He was engaged in combat from July 1966 until July 1967 near Cam Ranh Bay.

Born in Georgia and at age of 7 he moved to Espanola, NM with his family where he made a lifelong home for himself. H.G. made his living as a heavy equipment operator, trucking, drywalling and mechanical work to retirement in 1990.

H.G. had a love and great enjoyment in the great outdoors of New Mexico and Colorado, enjoying fishing, boating, camping, four wheeling, and hunting-especially elk. He greatly enjoyed going on trips with his wife on his self-built trike. He enjoyed sharing his love and knowledge of the great outdoors with his family.

Funeral Service 11/9/23 12:30-1:30 PM in Rivera Chapel with interment to follow at 2:30 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
