Henry Vargas

Henry Vargas, 68, of Taos passed away on October 12, 2012. Henry was a licensed funeral director who started his career at Strong-Thorne Funeral Home in Albuquerque and later worked for many years as manager for Garcia Funeral Home and Rivera Funeral Home in Taos. He is preceded in death by his father, Juan B. Vargas, mother, Esther V. Vargas, sisters and brothers, Isabelle Vargas, Fabiola Olivas, Juanita V Martinez, Ernest and Johnny Vargas and granddaughter, Christen Vargas. He is survived by his sons, Paul and Fredrick Vargas, daughters, Sonia Hoarau and Anissa Sanchez (Urban), grandchildren, Ashley Vargas, Tiffany Sanchez, Geramiah Vargas, Erika Hoarau, Mariah and Eliseo Sanchez, great grandchildren, Jayvian Portillos, Alijah and Zachariah Bell and Kaidynce Portillos. He is also survived by sister and brothers, Amy Crites (Larry), Felix and Bobby Vargas and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass was held on October 19, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with interment following at Sierra Vista Cemetery.
