Herman M. Olguin 81, of Los Colonias passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2012 in Chama New Mexico. He owned and operated Olguin's sawmill for many years, and served in the Korean War in which he received a Purple Heart. He is preceded in death by parents Luciano and Andrea Olguin, brothers, Carlos, and Sonny Olguin, sister, Christina, grandchildren, Roman Lopez and Eva Abreu. He is survived by wife of 60 years Angelina Olguin, son Herman Olguin (Joleen), daughters, Bonnie Trujillo (Art), Sally Hamman (Mike), Lillian Herrera (Alex), Vicky Olguin (Tom Savage), Della Barrone (Dan), 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother, Pete Olguin, sisters, Sally Gallegos, Francis Olguin, Grace Olguin, Rita Martinez, Julia Martinez, and Juanita Bustamante, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held on August 28th, 2012 at the Church of Latter Day Saints, with interment following at the Los Colonias Cemetery.
