Horacio A. Quintana

Horacio A. "Jerry" Quintana Age 76 of the upper San Pedro area of Espanola passed away on September 28, 2005 after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Alberto and Ignacita Quintana, four brothers; Jose, Ben, Celestino and Ross Quintana and his sister in law Mela. He retired as a municipal employee with the city of Espanola and was an active parishioner at La Iglesia De La Santa Cruz De La Canada, was a member of RSVP Santa Cruz Senior Center, Veterans of Foreign War, Disabled American Veterans, Fraternal Order of Eagles and The American Legion. He was a United States Army WWII Veteran having served in Europe, Phillipines and Japan. He is survived by his daughter Debbie and Dr. Dale Harrier of Espanola, his companion Mary Martinez of Santa Cruz and Grandchildren: Joseph Alire-Rael, JoVanna Alire-Rael, Danielle Harrier and Devon Harrier all of Espanola, his brothers; Pete Quintana and his wife Dora, Nefie Quintana and his wife Gloria all of Albuquerque, Kino Quintana and his wife Pauline of La Mesilla, his sister Minnie Quintana of San Pedro and sister in law Frances Quintana of El Rancho as well as numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Public visitation will be held from 9am-5pm on Friday Sept. 30th in the Chapel at Block-Salazar Mortuary, recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Oct. 1 at 10am at La Iglesia De La Santa Cruz De La Canada with interment to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery. The family of Horacio A.
