Howard Oakeley

Howard Reece Oakeley , 70, died Oct. 1, 2014 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Reece, son of the Thomas R. Oakeley (deceased), was born in Santa Fe and grew up in Taos. Upon graduation from Taos High in 1963, Reece moved to the West Coast, got married and fathered two children, Elizabeth and Kevin. He moved to Puerto Vallarta in the early 80s where he married Maria Elena and had one child, Diana. He also is survived by his mother, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; seven siblings and numerous uncles, nephews and cousins. Reece, known for his warm smile and engaging personality, loved to entertain, fish and scuba dive. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 9 AM at Rivera Chapel.
