Ignacio “Nacho” Montoya, 76, of Taos passed away on April 23, 2019. Nacho loved Taos, his Catholic Faith, and his family. He was married for 58 years to Ernestine, his loving wife. He had a wonderful sense of adventure, loved to travel and try new things! He was a terrific father, who praised & encouraged his children in all their endeavors. His 2 grandsons gave him great joy! He taught them how to fish & ride bikes, and most of all, spent time with them. They adored their grandpa! He worked in television repair & never retired as he loved his work. Many people were fortunate to know him in the many house calls he made over the years. We on earth will miss him immensely! Our comfort is that his true faith has led him home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Canuta Montoya, brothers, Eloy and Joe Montoya and sisters, Crucita Vigil, Elia LeDoux, Cora Bennett and Fabiola Cota. He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Montoya, son, Aaron Montoya (MaryAnn), daughters, Sheila Montoya Rey (David), Myra Pompeo (Larry) and Grace Cardenas (Andy), grandchildren, Daniel Johnson (Jennifer) and Andrew Cardenas, brothers, Ray Montoya (Donna) and Abran Montoya (Theresa), sister, Eufracia Montoya (Arturo), many other relatives and friends.
