Ignacio Salazar

January 24, 1946 — June 27, 2021

Ignacio F. Salazar, 74, resident of La Cieneguilla. New Mexico. Has gone to be with our loving God, on June 27, 2021. He was born to Fedelino and Fedelina Salazar on January 24, 1946.

He was a loving husband to his loving wife Elda Salazar of 56 years, father of 4 loving children; Judith Salazar-Martinez (deceased); Fred Salazar; Michael (Jennifer); and Vincent (Darlene).

Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Brothers; Lalo (Anna), Julie (Steve) and Kathy Rose (Chappy Jose).

Ignacio was a retired Santa Fe Police Officer 1974-1994. He loved fishing, hunting, carpenter, gardening in his garden and most of all being with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Fedelino and Fedelina Salazar, daughter; Judith Salazar-Martinez, siblings; Nellie, Mary, Raymond, Henry and Jerry.

He will be missed by many friends and family.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at San Isidro Catholic Church.

Mass will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at San Isidro Catholic Church followed by interment at San Jose Cemetery.

We the family of Ignacio F. Salazar would like to thank our family and friends for all the support, prayers and help during this last year since Ignacio went home to be with the Lord and his family and friends that went before him.

In this last year the family has grieved and went through many struggles and trials while trying to adjust to life without Ignacio.  It is you our family and friends that have helped get us through this last year.  From the bottom of our HEARTS we want to Thank You and tell you that we love you.  Please continue to keep us in prayer and we will also keep you in our prayers.
