Isabel Garcia

Isabel C Garcia age 90 of lower San Pedro died peacefully on Thursday November 13, 2008, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents Luis V and Ursulita Chavez, infant granddaughter Rene, sister Manuelita Valdez, brothers Gilbert, Frank, Luis, Jose, Reggie, and Arthur Chavez, husband Leopoldo Adolfo Garcia and son-in-law John A. Elliot. She is survived by her homemaker/caregiver Maria De La Torre who she considered a daughter, and her children Frances l. Elliott of Santa Fe, Leo Garcia of Rio Rancho, Gilbert Garcia and wife Joann of Rio Rancho, Sharon Borrego and husband John of San Pedro, Ursula Ciddio and husband Joe of Canoncito, Grandchildren Lawrence, Brian, Doris, Robin, Peter, Kristine, John Jr, Dana , William, Debbie, Pete, Tonya, Michelle, Julie, Matthew, Steven, Sandra, Barry, Daniel, J.P., Michael, Lucinda, Andrew, Perez, Michele, and Rosalia, 30 Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren, brother and sister in laws: Magdalena Chavez and Teresita and Augustine Martinez, and Jaime and Leonore Rodriguez and many other relatives and friends. Recitation of rosary will be held on Monday night at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. A second rosary will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at La Iglesia De La Santa Cruz De La Canada. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at La Iglesia De La Santa Cruz De La Canada, with interment to follow at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe. Serving as pallbearers will be Sandra, Lucinda, Rosalia, Robin, and Kristine. The remaining will serve as honorary pallbearers. The Family would like to thank Ideal Homecare-especially Leo Trujillo and Judy Salazar, Espanola Hospital Home Care-especially Pam and Marvin, and Odyssey Hospice and Dr. Hassemer and staff for the care given to Isabel Garcia.
