Isabell Archibeque

Isabell Archibeque, age 81, was called to be with our dear Lord on August 20, 2016 after a courageous 8 month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Pomona California on January 2, 1935 to Ralph and Zeniada Diaz. She is preceded in death by her father Ralph Diaz, her mother Zenaida Diaz, brothers Ralph Diaz, Jr., Ruben Diaz and Zeke Diaz, her daughter Vivian Archibeque-Martinez, and her grandson Frankie Johnson, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Clyde Archibeque, her two sons, Clyde Archibeque, Jr. (Gina) and Steve Archibeque, her daughter Kim Garcia (Ray), 6 grandchildren; Elena, Clyde III, Tiffany, Jolene (Justin), Steven and Jessica, 11 great-grandchildren; Angelo, Steven, Karmela, Rachel, Andres, Emma, Marcos, Tyler (and his mother Amy), Andrew, Isaac and Lilyana, great-great granddaughter Natacia, brothers Raymond Diaz (Stella), Robert Diaz, Ralph Diaz (Martha), sisters Mary Crawford (Walter), Jan Rael (Daniel) and many other close relatives and friends who love her dearly. Pallbearers are her grandchildren; Elena Montoya, Clyde Archibeque III, Tiffany Archibeque, Jolene Archibeque-Schachtner, Steven Archibeque and Jessica Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Angelo Romero, Steven Romero, Karmela Romero, Ray Garcia and Richard Garcia. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday, August 25th at 7:00 p.m. at the Rivera Family Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 E. Rodeo Rd. Mass of Christian burial will be at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi Friday, August 26th at 11:45 a.m. with the Rite of Christian burial to follow at the Rosario Cemetery. A reception to celebrate the beautiful life of Isabell will be held at Father Crespin Hall at the Cathedral immediately following the burial.
