Iver Wahl

Iver W. Wahl, age 94, passed away on June 16, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kaye, his 2 two sisters, his brother, and his parents. He is survived by his son, Michael Iver Wahl, his daughter, Eileen Gardner, three grandchildren, and two nieces. He always had a big smile, and a firm handshake, and loved a good joke or prank, for example, if his business travel brought him in the vicinity of his oldest niece, he would dress in disguise, and arrive unexpectedly, they would both have a good laugh after she figured out who it was. Camping, hiking, skiing, and photography, were his favorite activities. He was an engineer, mostly in the aerospace field, and received many awards for his work, (including the Skylab Achievement Award from NASA). He is included in the publications of Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the West, Men of Achievement, and The Directory of Distinguished Americans. More importantly, he was a thoroughly good, kind man, and a great father. A memorial will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 1 PM at Ancianos Senior Center, 601 Lovato Pl., Taos, NM.
