Jack Beasley

February 18, 1938 — August 8, 2020

Jack Felder Beasley left this sweet earth Saturday, August 8th, 2020 just one week shy of celebrating his 64th wedding anniversary with his wife Carolyn. He met the love of his life, Carolyn at a Rainbow-DeMolay Valentines Dance February of 1954. They dated until August of 1956 when they were married on August 15th, 1956 and were together always until he went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ. They loved each other with every beat of their hearts and they were strong in love and strong as a couple.

With 2 children and the 3rd on the way, got his B.S in Mechanical Engineering in 1961 from New Mexico State University. He went to work for El Paso Electric Company, and then in 1966 he took a job with El Paso Natural Gas Company, as a Pipeline Design, Testing and Supervising Engineer. He put in 30 years of service to El Paso Natural Gas, retiring in 1996.

There were so many fun chapters of his life, with he and Carolyn teaching their 3 children to love and enjoy the great outdoors. Always doing fun activities, like hunting, camping, fishing, and dirt bike riding, as well as playing basketball, football and dodgeball with his children. He also loved NASCAR and loved working on cars and motorcycles with Jack II and Tammy.

After he retired, he and Carolyn sold their house and went full time RV’ing with their friends, traveling all over the Country, before settling back down in Chama in 2007 to help his daughter Tammy and her husband Mike run the Laundromat. You could always find him there working on a machine or a dryer, or just visiting with the customers, sharing a smile and laughter and occasionally playing a practical joke. He was very kind, helpful and generous, always a pleasure to be around. People who met him always came away from the meeting with a good feeling.

This year his health became a burden and he began to lose his zest for life. He finally succumbed to forces beyond his control. He enjoyed a full life with an abundance of love, fun and happiness.

He is proceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jennie May Beasley, and his young grandson, Jacob Ryan Beasley. He is survived by Mary Carolyn Beasley, his loving wife and his 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Colleen Schulte, his oldest daughter, his son Jack and his wife Cathy Beasley, with their three children Shane Beasley, Kendal Beasley and Chris Beasley, proceded in death by their son Jacob Ryan. His youngest daughter Tammy her husband Mike Armstrong, with their son Jerrett and his wife Dawn Armstrong, and their 3 children Sarah, Luke and Emma, and their daughter Judi and her husband Jesse Travis and 2 children Ainsley and Tenley.
