James "Jim" P. Karmazin

James “Jim” P. Karmazin March 4, 1955 – January 5, 2025

James P. Karmazin, 69, passed away suddenly at home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on January 5, 2025. Jim was born on March 4, 1955, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the New Mexico State Transportation Department after many years of dedicated work. Jim also worked in security and with the Santa Fe Sheriff's Office. Jim enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.

Jim was survived by his daughters, Charlotte Witt (Steve) and Stephanie Parson (Gilbert), as well as three granddaughters, Lynae and Kaylee Witt, and Shaelynn Karmazin. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Patricia Karmazin.

Jim will be missed by many, and we pray that he can now rest in peace.

A graveside service will be held in Jim’s honor at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, February 6th, at 1:30 p.m.
