James Calvert

November 18, 1982 — April 5, 2022

Our beloved James Marcelino Calvert passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 5, 2022. He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Yvonne M Calvert, paternal grandfather Marcelino Calvert, maternal grandparents Jose Gabriel and Mary Margaret Cata, uncles Peter and Raymond Calvert.

James Marcelino had a heart of gold and love for any and everyone he encountered in life. His infectious smile, genuine love, unquestionable loyalty and respectful nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James Marcelino is survived by his children Jerome and Destiny Martinez, Marcus and Anika Calvert, mother Laura Calvert, father James Maurice Calvert, brother Darren(Brianna) Calvert, Sister Kateri(Dezjuan) Shields, father and mother in law Lawrence and Helen Bustos, paternal grandmother Gertrude Calvert, aunt Judy Cata, Uncle and Aunt/ Padrino’s Vernon and Stephanie Rene Martinez, aunt Rose(Lindsey) Cata, uncle Steven(Roxanne) Calvert, brother and sister in law Andrew and Ashley Sandoval, brother in law Lorenzo Bustos, nieces Addilynn Calvert, Taliah Porter, Lily Sandoval, nephews David and Nicolas Sandoval and Jeshua Porter, cousins, Brandon Cata, Garrett and Everett Martinez, Blueflower(Alan) Cordero, Ramon Calvert, Peter Cata, Godson Austin Trujillo and close friend Michelle Martinez and many aunts, uncles, cousins.

Rosary for James Marcelino will be held at 6pm Thursday April 7, 2022 at Mother Laura Calvert home in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9am at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church with burial to follow at Santa Cruz Cemetery.  

Serving as pallbearers are  Teofilio and Juan Marcos Guerin, Andrew “Aj” Sandoval, Melvin Ortiz, Kevin Martinez, BJ Bird, Frank “Stretch” Aguino and Bryce Gabaldon. Serving as honorary pallbearers his children, Jerome, Destiny, Marcus and Anika, Austin Trujillo, David and Nicolas Sandoval, Jeshua Porter, Brandon Cata and Garrett and Everett Martinez.

The family of James Marcelino Calvert would like to thank everyone for the calls, visits, food and money donations but most importantly prayers during this difficult time.
