James Mason

James Mason, 86 of Vadito passed away on February 23rd . He was born in Wichita, Kansas abd graduated from high school and in December, 1944 left for military service in convoy duty in the South Pacific. He returned and in 1950, married Margaret Hetzke of Hesston, Kansas. Shortly thereafter he was called to back to active service with the US Army in Germany. After his return in 1954 his son Roger was born. James had a long career in the aerospace industry and lived in Chula Vista, California. His favorite place was his mountain cabin in Las Mochas near Vadito where he retired. He is survived by his second wife Nadine Davis Mason, his son, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 2 PM at Rivera Chapel in Taos.
