James Ramsey

JAMES S. RAMSEY, 55, of Santa Fe, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015. He was born June 7, 1960 in Santa Fe, the son of Helen Corriz and Thomas Ramsey. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Step-Father, Helen and Jimmy Corriz, his father, Thomas Ramsey, grandparents Rose and Stewart Cornette. James is survived by his daughters, Jessica Ramsey and Jolene Ramsey (Mark Griego); son Dominic Ramsey (Annabel Chacon); grandson, Julius Sanchez; two granddaughters, Mariah Valdez and Shantel Sanchez, all of Santa Fe. Also surviving are his sisters, Liza Corriz and Sheri Chavez; and many nieces and nephews, and his childrens mother, Diane Zapata. James was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors doing what ever it was, and most of all he loved taking care of his horses and animals. Visitation will begin at 6:30 pm Monday, October 5th, 2015 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Elks Lodge at 1615 Old Pecos Trail. Pallbearers will include Julius Sanchez, Mariah Valdez, and Shantel Sanchez. Honorary Pallbearers include his nieces, nephews, sisters, co-workers and all his friends that cared for him.
