James Silva

James Silva, 60, of Henderson, CO and formerly of Arroyo Hondo passed away on July 19, 2011. He was a graduate of New Mexico State University and was an Electrical Engineer. In 1975, he met his future wife, Priscilla LeFebre of Laramie, Wyoming. On December 14, 1979 they married and shortly thereafter moved to Denver, Colorado where he worked for 24 years for USWEST, later QWEST. He is preceded in death by his father, Victoriano Silva. He is survived by his wife, Prescilla Silva, children, Teresa Sotelo (Robert), Trinidad Botello (Aaron), Sofia Williams (Kenny), James V. Silva, Augustina Trejo, grandchildren, Tessa, Isaac and Victor Sotelo; and Anthony and Serafina Williams. mother, Viola Silva, brothers and sisters, Larry Silva (Evelyn), Rudy Silva (Lillian), Clifford and Theresa Silva, Merlinda Romero (Robert) and many other relatives. Rosary was recited on July 24, 2011. Funeral mass was held on July 25, 2011. Both services were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Interment was held at the Upper Arroyo Hondo Cemetery. For all his life he kept a beautiful garden. Even in the face of illness. He yearned for nothing more than to return to his hills and mountains of Northern New Mexico; his homeland where he was laid to rest.
