Jan Helen Mahalik

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35

Jan Helen Mahalik passed away January 6, 2025, at the age of 82. She was a native of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and a resident of New Mexico for the past 15 years. Prior to moving to New Mexico, Jan taught for 35 years in the Illinois school system at the primary grade level. Jan knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive and her generosity knew no bounds as she gave from heart and soul as wife, mother, grandmother, sister and teacher. People were always greeted by her welcoming smile and dancing brown eyes. Her hugs for everyone were testimonies of her generous love. Everyone praised Jan as uniquely gifted and blessed soul.

Although Janet is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

Jan is survived by her husband Louis Mahalik; her son, John Mahalik and wife Sarah; grandchildren Jack and Evan Mahalik; sisters; Virginia Piezynski, Bernadette Pieczynski and Paula Ann Dial.
