Jane Boomer

Jane Ann Boomer, age 69, of Valle Escondido, NM passed away on May 13, 2020.  Jane was born in September 1950 in Amarillo, Texas to John and Mary Fawell.  She married the love of her life Robert "Scott" Boomer in July of 1989 and became a step-mom, to a daughter that always thought of her as mom.  They lived in Claude, TX until

2007 when they built their dream home and moved to the mountains of NM.  She loved looking through cookbooks, trying out new recipes, and having family dinners at the table.  She had a wonderful fun loving spirit, enjoyed fishing, golfing, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Her life was a living example of what she used to say, "PMA - Positive Mental Attitude".  Jane worked mainly as an administrative assistant and retired from Affiliated Foods, in Amarillo, TX, as an assistant buyer in 2006.  Jane is preceded in death by her parents: John and Mary Fawell,  step-father Joe Murphy; brother, Pat Fawell,  granddaughter Jada Bates and niece Kelly Pierce.  Jane is survived by husband Robert "Scott" Boomer of 30 years;

daughter Cathy Sanchez of San Antonio, TX; sister Joanne Short of Amarillo; sister-in-law Brenda Fawell of Amarillo, TX; sister-in-law Ginger Kennedy of Ft Worth, TX; three nieces, three nephews, three grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Jane was a member of mahjong group in Taos, NM and worked closely with a shoe charity that provides shoes for underprivileged children in the Taos, NM area. No memorial service or funeral will be held.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the shoe fund at Jane Boomer Memorial (children's shoe fund), 28 Lodge Rd, Taos, NM 87571.
