Jean Michael Fuselier began a new journey, unexpectedly on October 18, 2019.
Michael, as he was known to just about all, came running impatiently into this world in Asheville, NC on June 11, 1987. He must have been in a rush to meet his parent’s Robert (Bob) and Susie Fuselier and his big sister Jennifer.
Michael started his life of traveling and service early on when he went with his family to Honduras where they lived in an orphanage. Shortly after returning from this journey Michael became a big brother to the new addition, Bobby.
The family continued their journeys and adventure to the Land of Enchantment where they settled in Los Alamos, NM. Here is where Michael’s love of soccer took root and grew. With his new soccer family, he developed bonds of friendship that lasted well past his youth. Michael would make friends wherever he went in his journey and travels through this life.
He was the one that always had a shoulder to offer to lean on through good times and bad. He was a light that glowed so brightly, so brightly that even strangers were drawn to sit and discuss their trial and tribulations with him, knowing somehow, he had wisdom beyond his years.
Starting with his job at Film Festival in high school, Michael became enamored with films. His passion would follow him through college, which led him to his degree in Creative Media from NMSU and then to Los Angeles where he worked on screenwriting. He returned to New Mexico where he maintained his connection to film while working as a waiter and bartender at a local restaurant, the Blue Window, where he was well remembered by all he met.
His new journey leaves behind his parent’s, Bob and Susie Fuselier, big sister Jennifer, her husband Jacob, little brother Bobby, his girlfriend Sarah, and his partner Kristina, as well as his nieces and nephews that he adored, Devereaux, Ariella, Haylie, Deaglan and Killian.
The Rite of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3700 Canyon Road, Los Alamos followed by a reception immediately after the Mass. Burial will take place at Guaje Pines Cemetery, Los Alamos after the reception.
