Jeanne Allen West Frank Richman: July 22, 1930 – May 9, 2017. Born in Mount Vernon, NY, daughter of Marjorie Rose Gregory and James Allen West. Jeanne grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and later New Rochelle, NY. She started modeling at a department store in Miami at 15 and then moved to Manhattan to pursue a career in modeling. She had a long, successful career with Frances Gill Agency, Stewart Models and Ford Modeling Agency that offered her the opportunity to travel the world. Her career extended from high fashion and runway to advertising and catalog. In the 1960s, she sat for and was painted by Salvador Dali and partied with John Lennon and George Harrison of the Beatles during the filming of the movie Help in the Bahamas. Her first husband, Henry Max Frank, named a clothing line in her honor, Jeanne West Fashions. She married her second husband, Henry L. Richman, in a Fern Grotto on the island of Kauai. She also lived in Manhasset and Remsenburg, NY; San Francisco, Palm Springs and San Diego, CA; and Santa Fe, NM. She is survived by her children Lois Ellen Frank; Gregory Daniel Frank, daughter-in-law Eliana Ahuva Frank and granddaughter Talia Giselle Frank; Cynthia Jane Frank and son-in-law Lars-Erik Asbjørnsen; step-sons Glenn David Frank, Michael Richman and Stephen Richman; her Native son Walter Whitewater; and her siblings, Robert Clark Gregory, Rose Marie Green, George West and Marylu Martin. Services will be held Sunday, May 14 at 10:00 am at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe. Reception will follow at the home of her daughter Lois Ellen Frank.
