Jim Duncan

Long-time cowboy Jim Hix Duncan passed at home, July 9 2009. He was 80 years old and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He moved his family to Santa Fe in 1964 from Clayton, NM. Jim retired from PNM in 1988. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Duncan, parents Max and Ima Duncan, and sister Jody Johnson. He is survived by daughter Darlene Hazen and husband James; son Mike Duncan, son Jimmy Duncan and wife Brenda, grandchildren; Chad Hazen, Cody Hazen and wife Jenny, Max Duncan, Chelsea and Sara Duncan, and one great-grandson Ethan Hazen, siblings; Jack Duncan, and wife Velma, and Susie Funk. He is also survived by his beloved companion Sita Hill and her children Suzanne and Sam. Jim will be forever engraved in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Santa Fe Funeral Options Chapel at 4:00pm.
