Jimmie Fennell

Jimmie Lee Fennell was born in Abiquiu, New Mexico, in 1945, to Bailey Murphy Fennell and Ruth Evelyn Donovan Fennell. He passed away on January 15, 2020, at his home in Arroyo Hondo, NM.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Harold Fennell.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alta Jean Scarbrough Fennell, sister, Nancy J. Ryan and husband Gene, brother, Richard Dale Fennell, numerous nieces and nephews, greats and great- greats, and many wonderful friends.  Jimmie was the owner and operator of Fennell Drilling Company, serving Taos and Colfax counties for 38 years.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Rivera Chapel.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM  at Rivera Funeral Home Chapel, 818 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, Taos, New Mexico with  Pastor Randy White, officiating.    Interment will follow at the Grace Community Church Cemetery,  157 Old State Rd., Arroyo Hondo, NM 87513, also following is  a luncheon held at Taos First Baptist Church, Paseo del Pueblo Sur.   Serving as pallbearers are:  Wayne Parish, Danny Miller, Seth Dolph, Roger Tomlinson, Kenny Wilder, Rodney Veron and Honorary pallbearer is Melecio Rael.   In Lieu of Flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alz.org.  Arrangements by Rivera Funeral Home, Taos.  To share a memory, please visit our website at www.riverafuneralhome.com
