Joan Stevens was fun loving, hardworking and kind-hearted. She derived great pleasure in painting, gardening, woodcarving, short-story writing, and playing tennis for over sixty years. She adored dogs and was a devoted mother. Her daily walks brought her great pleasure and she never tired of watching the grand vistas of the Taos valley and the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Her daughter, Jean will miss her terribly as well as her son Jerry.
