Joe Graves

On October 6th Joe Graves, age 85, went to be with his Lord. Joe Graves was born in Carson, NM to Richard Claude Graves and Frances Varos Graves on the 19th of October, 1932. Joe Graves leaves his four children James Graves, Rachel Dorr (Kim), Lane Graves, and Elle Graves, his five grandchildren JJ (Sarah), Cory, Richard (Kandice), Amelia (Ryan), Kurtis, as well as 3 great grandchildren to continue his legacy of kindness and love. Joe was known for his unique craftsmanship, well dowsing, mining of staurolites, and his infectious spirit, all of which he accredited God for. Joe was an amazing Christian man whose humility and smile made the world a brighter place. Anyone lucky enough to meet Joe knew that his heart beat for his family and his Lord. The Graves family welcomes anyone who would like to come and honor his memory. The visitation and service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Mt. Zion church beginning at noon. The internment and reception will follow. A special thanks to all of the family and friends who have reached out during this difficult time and to the nurses at the Kindred Hospice Center of ABQ who made Joe’s last days as comfortable as possible.
