Joe Inez Ortega

Joe Inez Ortega August 27, 1932 ~ April 3, 2009 Joe passed away on April 3, 2009 due to a sudden illness. He is preceded in death by his parents; Manuel Ortega and Gregorita (Lita) Ortega, his brothers; Benny , Daniel, Eugene, and Florentino, Ortega, sisters; Henrietta Aguliar, Cordelia Baca, and Priscilla O. Vigil, and son Anthony Ortega. He is survived by his sons: David and Steven Ortega, daughter; Patricia Mayo, all of California, grandchildren; Mario Cruz Ortega of New York, Sean Mayo and Whitney Mayo also of California, sisters; Consuelo Montoya, Rosina Ortega, Erlinda Gonzales, Cecilia Aranda, and brothers; Charlie Ortega (Celine). Joe is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe proudly served in the U.S. Navy from June 28, 1951 to June 28, 1955, and was stationed at Coronado Naval Air station in San Diego, California. His family loved him very much and he will dearly be missed. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30am on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Santa Fe Funeral Options Chapel, 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM, Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30am with full military honors.
