Joe (Jr) Sisneros

JOE R. (JR) SISNEROS, 76, of Rio Rancho, formerly of Santa Fe, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 following a brief illness. He was born in Santa Fe on June 19, 1939, the son of Hellen and Facundo Sisneros. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Alfonso & Josephine Gurule; brothers, Orlando Sisneros and Gilbert Sisneros; his beloved grandson, Alfonso Sisneros; and beloved nephew, Patrick Sisneros. JR is survived by his caring wife and companion, Frances Sisneros; his son, Harold Anthony Sisneros and wife Carla; his daughter, Sylvia Sisneros; special niece and nephew Loretta and Steve Gonzales; cherished grandchildren, Melissa Sisneros (Jesse), Angelique Lujan, Josh Herrera (Joleisha),Jason Herrera (Jennifer), Cameron Sisneros (Cassandra), Jeremy Sisneros (Amariz), and Stephanie Wallace; his great grandchildren, Natalie Tapia (John), Mya Tapia, Julian Romero, Cameron Sisneros Jr, Angelina Sisneros, Charles Wallace Jr, Leila Herrera, and Nicholas Martinez. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary & Gilbert Gurule, Priscilla Ortiz, and Wanda Montoya; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur & Carmella Gurule and Arlene Sisneros, along with many beloved extended family members and his special companion, Hercules. JR retired from PNM, (which is now Gas Company of New Mexico) and the State of New Mexico. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church in Santa Fe. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am Wednesday, also at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 417 E. Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe. A reception will follow the interment at Cristo Rey Church Center, 1120 Canyon Road. Pallbearers will include Cameron and Jeremy Sisneros, and serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua and Jason Herrera.
