Santa Fe- In Loving Memory of Joe Larranaga, 84, who passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Joe was born in Los Rincones Colorados, New Mexico.
He is proceeded in death by his Parents, Macario Larranaga, Anita Tapia Larranaga, Son-Joe Larranaga Jr., Granddaughter–Nichole Larranaga, Sisters/Brothers in law-Eloisa Couty, Juanita/Maclovio Montoya, Mary and Ester Larranaga, Libby Martinez. Brothers/Sisters in law-Gilbert and Tommy Larranaga, Ramon/Loyola Tapia, Delfino/Lucy Tapia, brothers-in-law Louie Sandoval, Dwayne Holtzclaw.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary, Daughter-Deborah, Son’s – Gabriel, Michael Sr. (Rose Ann) Larranaga, Sisters – Mary Lou Sandoval, Charlotte Holtzclaw, Brother-Tony Larranaga. Brothers in law – Fredy Couty, Antonio Martinez, Grandchildren – Nadine Larranaga Cordova (Maurico), Michael Jr. (Katrina), Christopher, Franciso, Larranaga, Priscilla Sirko, and nine great grandchildren, and family and friends.
Joe was a strong proud man, he served in the National Guard, and made a career of driving his semi-truck for over forty years, He was creative, he loved to weld, build trailers, rebuild old cars, going camping, and hunting. When you made a friend with Joe, you made a friend for life! He will be dearly missed and always loved.
A Viewing will be on March 24, 2024 from 3-5 pm at Rivera’s Kiva Chapel. Rosary will be on March 25, 2024 at 7:30 pm at St. Anne Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be on March 26,2024 at 10:00 am at St. Anne Catholic Church, burial to follow 11:30 am at Rosario Cemetery. Pallbearers: Michael Jr., Christopher, Francisco, Larranaga, Nicholas Cordova, Bernie Tapia, Jerry Sandoval, Honorary Pallbearer–Santos Montoya.
