Joe Martinez

JOE A. MARTINEZ, 73, OF Santa Fe, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 in Santa Fe. He was born May 6, 1942 in Santa Fe, the son of Margaret and Isaac Martinez. He and Rita Marquez were married September 26, 1964 in Santa Fe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Isaac Martinez. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rita Martinez; his daughter, Jo Ann Martinez; granddaughter Baylee Baker and grandson Tyler Baker, all of Santa Fe. He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters, and other relatives. Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Following his discharge he returned to Santa Fe where he worked for New Mexico Pest Control for 35 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment with military honors at Santa Fe National Cemetery will be Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 1:30 PM.
