Joe Sandoval

Joe Alex Sandoval A resident of Peñasco went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2007. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne F. Sandoval; parents: Juan Ramon and Lioneres Maestas-Sandoval; grandparents: Ramon Sandoval and Lucinda Rael and Jose Maria Maestas and Ramoncita Gonzales; nephews: Thomas I. Cantou and Milton Sandoval; brother-in-law, Jacobo Dominguez; uncles: Juan Pio, Nick, Don, Tony, Eloy and Narciso Sandoval and aunts: Amelia Rodriguez and Mary Gutierrez. Joe was born on July 12, 1938 to Juan Ramon Sandoval and Lioneres Maestas. He was married on February 4, 1962 to Irene Pacheco. He had six children: Paul, Wayne, Eileen, Annette, Joey and Matthew. He is survived by his sisters: Helen Sandoval of Peñasco, Ramona Cantou and husband Tommy of Santa Fe and Lydia Dominguez of Chamisal; brother, Juan Gilbert Sandoval of Santa Cruz; children: Paul Sandoval of Blanca CO, Eileen Mestas and husband Steven of San Pablo, CO, Annette Gurule and husband Steve of San Luis, CO, Joey Sandoval and wife Andrea of Evaston, WY and Matthew Sandoval and wife Rachelle of San Luis, CO uncle, Theodoro Sandoval and wife Lugarda; aunt, Cora Archuleta; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin, Amber, Wayne, Jr., Tanya, Joe and Jeremy Sandoval, Chantelle Morine, Johnathon Medina and Dean, Lorraine and Jacobito Ramon Dominguez. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 7:00 pm. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. A second rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 pm. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco, with the burial to follow at Chamisal Catholic Cemetery.
