John Anthony Valdez

John Anthony Valdez, age 27 of Santa Fe, NM. joined his heavenly father on Thursday October 27, 2011. He was born in 1984 to parents Elaine & George. He had a big heart, usually putting others' needs ahead of his own. His final humble gift was in helping by serving as an organ donor. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Fred Rivera and Esquipula Valdez. He is survived by mother Elaine and stepfather Tim Huizar of Santa Fe, father George Valdez of Nambe, children Amelia, Estrella, Marquita, Adelina, and John, and their mother Catalina Block, fiance' Jessica Aragon & baby Israel John due in January. He is also survived by grandmothers Gertrude Rivera and Grace Valdez, sister Denise and companion Eric, and brother David Valdez, stepbrothers Alex and Nathaniel, stepsister Brittany Huizar, Nephew Jacob, nieces; Jazlyn, Jessica and Raina Roybal, and Amberly Huizar, uncle Sig Rivera and wife Loretta, aunts Christine Garcia and husband Herman, Barbara Ratliff and husband Vince, Kelly Valencia and husband Jerry all of Santa Fe, and uncles from Nambe; Gerald, Leroy, Chris, John, Roman and Phillip Valdez, aunts Joann Lopez and husband Polo, and Maria Valdez and companion Daniel Cardiel, many cousins, friends and great aunts & uncles. Recitation of the Rosary took place on at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe, the Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated also at the church. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Nambe. Pallbearers named are: Ovy Valencia, Robert Abeyta, Gabriel Garcia, Manny Saiz, and phillip and Anthony Valdez, honorary pallbearers will be Samantha Abeyta, Victoria Garcia, Stephanie and Jaclyn Rivera, David Valdez and Alex Huizar.
