John Dickerson

John Richard Dickerson of Santa Fe passed away January 23,2009. He was born on February 25, 1943 in Little Rock, Ark. to Donald and Dixie Dickerson. John taught secondary math in Espanola, Puerto Rico and Texas. He traveled extensively in Europe, Mexico, Cuba and South and Central America. While living in Alaska he learned to speak Russian fluently and lead tour groups to the USSR. He was president of the Houston Chapter of Veterans for Peace for many years. He is survived by his sister Kathy Dickerson of Santa Fe; brother Bob of Amarillo, Texas and nephews Scott (Cindy), Amarillo; Brent (Annie), Katy Texas and his dog Buck. A special thanks to many great caregivers in Santa Fe especially Carol Leyba and family, Philmore Miller, Ray Vigil and Chantilley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Watermelon Mtn.
