John Mares

John P. Mares,75, of Taos, New Mexico, left this world on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 after suffering a long illness with cancer to join Our Heavenly Father in His Kingdom. John is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Beatrice Mares, brother, Clarence whom he was very close to.   John is survived by his companion/partner, Stephanie Rivera of 29 years, children, Antonia (Gilbert) Mares, Francisca (Anthony) Miera, John Paul Mares from his first marriage to Loretta DeHerrera (deceased), David Mares, Kathryn (Tom) Coppedge, and Steven Mares from his second marriage to Hope Mares. Also, surviving John are Leonard (Anna) Rivera, Richard (Eileen) Rivera. 12 grandchildren, 9 greatgrandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. His sisters: twin sister Joanne (Sef) Castillo, Frances (Tommy) Parraz, Dilia Ortega, a very special niece, Myra (Jason) Montano, special uncle, Ralph (Margaret) Esquibel, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
