John Milller

John E. Miller June 20, 1923 - September 5, 2008 John was born in Calhoun County Georgia and served honorably in the US Army Air Core flying numerous bombing missions out of England during the World War II. John received his law degree from Emory University Law School in 1951 and was a member emeritus of the Georgia State Bar Association. John and his wife, Peggy, moved to Santa Fe in 1984 after retiring from CNA Insurance as an executive vice president in charge of claims. One of John's greatest passions in life was his love for the sport of handball. He was a member of both the US Handball Association and the Santa Fe Handball Association and continued to play until the onset of his recent illness. John approached life as he did handball often saying "There is nothing to this game." He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy. John's irreplaceable spirit and presence will be deeply missed by the handball community as well as numerous other friends and acquaintances throughout Santa Fe.
