Johnny T. Montaño, 64, of Arroyo Seco passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 21, 2018. He was the longtime owner of Casa Cordova Restaurant in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico. He also drove for the U.S. Mail in addition to working for other restaurants in the community. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his father, Ino Montaño, mother, Cora Montaño, brother, Gilbert Montaño, niece, Elizabeth “Lisa” Montaño and nephew, James Vigil. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Montaño, sons, John Montaño (Leilani), Jeremy Montaño (Sarah), Jason Montaño (Santana), grandchildren, Johnny Montaño III, Dominic Montaño, Nehemiah Montaño, Ariah Montaño, siblings, Adonaise Montaño and Tillie Montaño, nephews and nieces, Mario Montaño, Eleanor Montaño, Bridget Montaño, Ralph Vigil (Debbie), Emmanuel Vigil (Victoria), Jennifer Childress (Gary), Amy Miles (Paul), sister in laws, Patty Bachtel (Michael) and Cecilia Montaño, many other relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 7 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
