JOHNNY S. ROYBAL age 60 of El Duende, NM. died unexpectedly on Monday March 2, 2009. He was the eldest son of the late Johnny A. and Ninfa Roybal. He was preceded in death by his parents and also his sister Eliza Roybal. Johnny was a decorated Vietnam Veteran, he worked for many years as a fireman in Los Alamos and retired as a postman. He enjoyed camping & fishing with Tudy and Lorenzo and his family, but most of all he enjoyed helping others and was always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed going on religious pilgrimages and attending the blessed sacrament. Johnny is survived by his companion Linda Martinez, sister Patricia Roybal-Martinez and husband Tomas of Rio Rancho, brothers Joseph Roybal, James Roybal and wife Gloria, Jerome Roybal, and youngest brother Chris Roybal-all of El Duende, niece ReAnn and other relatives and friends. THE SERVICES HAVE BEEN CHANGED! Public visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00pm to 5:30pm at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Recitation of the rosary will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at noon also at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment is planned at The Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors. Serving as pallbearers are Lorenzo Herrera, Art Herrera, Harold Lovato, Albert Lopez, Louie Martinez, Adan Ortega.
