John Ortiz

John R. Ortiz, April 9, 1959 ~ March 19, 2021. He was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family after battling with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents; Minnie & Inez Ortiz, brother; Paul Ortiz, sister; Alice Ortiz-Gee.

He is survived by his loving wife; Felipita Ortiz, son; Jeremy Ortiz, brothers; Leroy and wife Irene, Richard and wife Shirley, Patrick and wife Dolores, sister-in-law; Jo-ann Stith and husband Tom, brother-in-law; Pat Griego, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

John was a loving, caring and devoted husband and father. A lifelong Cowboys, Yankees and Lakers fan, he loved watching the games with his son and enjoyed Baskin Robbins dates with his wife. He will be sorely missed by his family and people that knew him.

The family would like to thank Amber Care Hospice staff; Hans, Amber, Chaplin Joy, Stephanie, Aaron, Margarita and Rachel for their amazing care and compassion for John.

A Service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 E Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505 with Interment to follow at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens.
