John Polkovitz

John C. Polkovitz, age 53, died unexpectedly on June 1, 2017. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was a beloved husband to Holly, devoted father to Leah (Shawn), Buddy-John Jr. (Marissa), Grampy to Adam and Grandson on his way, dearest friend to Lucille, loving son to Claire and Irving, brother to Michael, Beth, and Noel, and “Unc”, “Nino”, and friend to many. John served 28 years in the Army/Air Force and retired as Master Sergeant. He was an outdoorsman, animal lover, and skilled craftsman. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Rivera’s Kiva Chapel of Light at 6pm with the Rosary to follow at 7pm. Catholic mass will be on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Guadalupe followed by burial at the SF National Cemetery.
