Jonathan A. Chavez

June 10, 1989 — February 22, 2020

Jonathan Abram Chavez, 30. His life began June 10, 1989 in Santa Fe, NM. With Angel’s Wings he left his loved ones on February 22, 2020 with family and friends by his side. He is preceded in death by his grandpa; Meliton Chavez and his grandma; Ernestina Clokey whom he adored. He is survived by his loving parents; Gilbert Chavez (Darel) and Cheryl Clokey (Eugene). His brother who was his best friend Gabe Chavez (Crystal); very special goddaughter Makenzie Chavez and nephew Gabriel Chavez; grandparents; Herman Clokey and Gloria Chavez; his road dogs Smokey and Simba as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends. Geege lived his life the way he chose. He brought joy and laughter to family and friends, as they brought smiles to him. He loved deeply and with no regrets when one needed him he was there. The time he shared with us, he enjoyed listening to music, cliff diving, being outdoors, but what fulfilled his heart was the time he spent on the diamond. Jon was loved to the fullest and will be missed terribly. “FWPT” serving as pallbearers; Gilbert Chaves, Eugene Ytuarte, Eric Clokey, Hastin Chavez, Luke Gray and Uncle Tim. Honorary pallbearers; Mackenzie Chavez, Gabriel Chavez, Monroe Gray, Crystal Gurule, Ashley Padilla and Adrian Clokey.

Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 E Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM following Interment at 1:00 p.m. at Rivera Santa Fe Memorial Gardens.

Reception at the F.O.P. following services and burial.
