Jose A. Velez

Mr. Jose A. Velez, age 59 of Santa Fe, NM. went to his eternal rest on Sunday July 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his brother Julio Velez. Jose is remembered as a responsible and friendly person, always endearing to his family. He loved music, singing and playing the guitar and dancing, as well as being outdoors and fishing. He is survived by his beloved wife Estela Mendez-Velez, daughters Esmeralda Arevalo and Nancy Velez, sons Jose Alfredo Velez, Jr. and Alberto Velez, father Gabino Velez, and sisters; Josefine Mejia, Maria E. Velez and Veronica Cortez, and brother Lorenzo Velez as well as other relatives. A public visitation was held on July 11, 2012 in the chapel of Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. Cremation followed.
