Jose Benito Ruybal

Jose Benito Ruybal, 75, of Antonito, CO and formerly of Taos passed away May 30, 2010 in Taos. Benito was born July 1, 1934, in Lobatos, CO. the son of Carlos B. Ruybal and Helen Gallegos Ruybal. Benito was a member of the New Mexico Teachers Association, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Conejos, S.P.M.D.T.U., and the A.A.R.P., he enjoyed doing cross word puzzles, reading, traveling, and spending time with his loving family. Survivors include two daughters Patty Ruybal of Albuquerque, NM and Cynthia Ruybal-Hruschka of Los Angeles, CA; three sons Jim & Marilynn Ruybal of Albuquerque, NM; David & Loyce Ruybal of Albuquerque, NM; Daryl Ruybal of Austin, TX; eleven Grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one nephew and three nieces. Benito was preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Helen Ruybal and sister Carla Rusnak, nephew Carlitos Ruybal. A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary was held on June 1, 2010 at Saint Augustine Catholic Church in Antonito, CO. Mass of the Resurrection was held on June 2, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Conejos, CO with interment following at the Los Cerritos Cemetery in Manassa, CO.
