Jose Cornelio Tafoya

Jose Cornelio Tafoya, 82, of Penasco passed away on March 21, 2007. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Florida Tafoya, parents, Gregorio and Cleotilde Tafoya, brothers, Jose Pablo, Jose Inez and Jose Orlando Tafoya, sisters, Maria Cordova, Juanita Leyba and Margarita Vasquez. He is survived by his children, Susana Vigil (Cipriano), Doris Tafoya (Miguel Romero), Darlene Abeyta (Epifano), William Tafoya and Cleo Tafoya (Terry Murphy). He is also survived by his brother, David Tafoya (Merly), sister, Theresa Romero (Mario), grandchildren, Louie Tafoya (Michelle), Felicita Pinon (Alex), Cipriano Vigil Jr. (Kim), Cecile Gomez (Ronnie), Miguel Romero, Jr. (Rachael), Orlando Abeyta and Aileen Abeyta, 17 great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and good friends. Rosary was recited on March 21, 2007 at Rivera Chapel in Taos. A second rosary was held on March 22, 2007 at San Antonio Catholic Church in Penasco and funeral mass followed. Interment was held on March 23, 2007 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
