Jose Gallegos

Jose Orlando (“Chuco”) Gallegos, 91, a resident of Questa passed away on March 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucy Gallegos; parents, Santiago and Eufamia Gallegos; brothers, Solio, Gilbert, Louis, and Jimmy; sister, Olivia Quintana; and granddaughter, Kendrea Gallegos. He is survived by his children, Jack (Deluvina) Gallegos, Kenneth (Ida) Gallegos, Frank (Judy) Gallegos, Jorlanda (Jimmy) Ortega; two sisters; and, his many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Jose, a veteran of the armed services, was a tireless worker that worked numerous jobs, including working several years at the Red River Ski Area, after retiring from MolyCorp. Jose loved working, relaxing, and spending time with his family in the outdoors. He will be dearly missed. Rosary was recited on March 31, 2017 at Rivera Chapel. Funeral mass was held on April 7, 2017 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Questa with interment following at the Cerro Cemetery.
