Jose Gonzales

Jose Gonzales – Age 86 a resident of Nambe passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2007. He was born on January 29, 1921 to Donaciano and Agueda Gonzales in El Rancho, NM. He married Maria T. Gonzales on December 16, 1983 in Nambe. He is survived by his wife, Maria T. Gonzales; sons and daughters: Eloy Gonzales and wife Melinda of Arroyo Seco, Cathy Herrera of Arvada, CO, Jeanette Garcia and husband Jonathan of Hernandez, Anthony Gonzales and wife Kathy of Arroyo Seco, Linda Maestas of Denver, CO and Henry L. Gonzales of Nambe; sister, Mary Jo Gonzales of Pasadena, CA; step-daughter, Ileana Stevenson of Canada; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 12 noon at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Joey Gonzales, George Herrera, Benny Maestas, Antonio Gonzales, Dustin Gonzales-Espinoza and Jonathan Garcia, Jr. The family of Jose Gonzales has placed their trust in the Rivera family of Block-Salazar Mortuary.
